Herbert S. Dreher Sr., of Dallas, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Born and raised in Dallas, he was the son of the late Max and Melusine Dreher. Mr. Dreher was a graduate of Dallas School and served his country honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force.

Following his military service, Herb became a master ceramic tile setter. His craftsmanship is reflected in work throughout New York and Pennsylvania, where his skill, precision, and dedication left a lasting legacy.

Herb was deeply involved in his community. He was a 75year member of the DaddowIsaacs American Legion Post 672, where he proudly carried the United States flag in local parades, provided respectful services for veterans, supported the children's Christmas Party, and participated in numerous civic activities. He was also a lifetime member of the Quiwaumick Hunting Club, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took great pride in seeing his love of the outdoors and volunteerism carried forward by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He cherished time spent poolside with a good cigar, sharing stories of hunting and fishing with his soninlaw, Chris Traver, and close friends Forest Hendrickson, Bob Killian, and Sterling Machell. He took great joy in hearing about his grandson Christopher's fishing events and followed those stories with pride.

He and his wife, Janice, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in June. Surviving are his daughter, Susan Traver, and her husband, Chris; his son, Herbert Dreher Jr., and his wife, Kathleen; grandchildren Christopher Traver, Kelsey Butler (Kenneth), and Dr. Molly Dreher; greatgrandchildren Mason, Ashton, and Braydon Butler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle; his brother, Max J. Dreher; and his sister-in-law and brotherinlaw, George and Lila Jett.

Per his wishes, private services will be held by his family.
