Jeffrey Scott Sorber, age 65 of Nanticoke, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in Bloomsburg on September 10, 1960 and was the son of the late Karen Sorber.

Jeffrey graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1978 and attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. He volunteered at the Mill Memorial Library. Jeffrey was an avid reader, especially history, loved to draw, collect coins, loved music and enjoyed attending Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Rail Riders games.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by uncle, Kenneth R. Sorber.

Jeffrey is survived by cousins, Ken Sorber (Ann Marie) of Dallas and Kimberly Holbrook (Candice) of Milton, VT.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery, 5876 Main Rd., Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Linda McDermott, officiating.

Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
