Kenneth M. Newberry, age 85 of Tunkhannock, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in Beaumont on October 1, 1940 and was the son of the late Harry and Florence Carey Newberry.

Ken graduated from Elk Lake High School. He retired in 1999 after 30 years of service at Proctor and Gamble, Mehoopany. Ken was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing. He also enjoyed reading and had a special interest in history and marketing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Chet, Harry, and Donald; son-in-law, Mickey Sible.

Ken is survived by children, Sherri Sible of Laceyville, Matthew Newberry (Lori) of Tunkhannock and Sandy Carson (Jeff) of Williamsport; sister, Mary Louise Oakley; grandchildren, Mickey, Andrew, Matthew, Markus, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Madison, Paisley, Mickey, III, Hudson and Oakley; former wife and life long friend, Sharon Newberry of Laceyville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Charles Bishop, officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.

Interment will be in the Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Northmoreland Twp.
