Linda Lou Wood, 77, of Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026.

Born on February 14, 1949, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Linda lived a life centered on family, hard work, and kindness. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend to many.

For 29 years, Linda proudly owned and operated an ice cream stand, Wood's Soft Ice Cream, where she became a familiar and beloved presence in her community. Through her dedication, warm smile, and welcoming spirit, she created countless memories for families and friends over the years.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, James H. Wood; her daughter, Jessica Doyle; her son James D. Wood and Daughter in law, Amy Wood; and her treasured grandchildren, Haley Doyle, Sofia Doyle, Addison Wood, Harper Wood, and Hudson Wood. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great joy in watching her children and grandchildren grow.

Linda will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.

Though she is no longer with us, the love, guidance, and joy she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

There will be no funeral services or calling hours.
