Minnie Mae Coolbaugh Miller, 100, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at her home in Dallas, PA. She was born May 28, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Synder Coolbaugh.
Minnie was raised in a farming family and naturally became a great sewer, baker, cook, and canner. Smelling her homemade bread was always fantastic and attracted all the neighborhood kids. She graduated from Kingston Township High School where she played several sports.
Minnie was an avid hunter, and a good one, as the many trophies on her wall attest to. She loved being in the woods and found much peace and joy there.
She started every day by doing a crossword puzzle and ended it by watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was by far the best puzzle solver in the family.
While Minnie loved the outdoors, her greatest love was family picnics and gatherings. Most of the gatherings ended up with some kind of card game which she, of course, usually won. She cooked Thanksgiving dinner for twenty plus family members for decades. While it was a lot of work, it was just her way to get the whole family together every year.
Minnie attended Grace Community Church, and before that, East Dallas Methodist where she served as Superintendent of Sunday Schools. She lived on earth for over a century and has gone home to be with The Lord. She will always be loved and missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Elias; sisters, Florence Miller, Marion Rishell, Isabelle Hoyt, and Lois and Jenny Coolbaugh; brothers, George, Ralph, and Donald Coolbaugh; and great-grandson, Elias David "Eli" Buck.
Surviving are her children, Charles (Michelle) Miller of Sinking Spring, PA, Kenneth (Nancy) Miller of Wyoming, PA; Robert Miller of Dallas, PA, Constance (Jeffery) Fleming of Catawissa, PA, Barbara (David) Buck of Danville, PA, and Thomas (Miriam) Miller of Blue Bell, PA; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, William Coolbaugh; and sister-in-law, Iva Coolbaugh.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 12:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dan Budgick of Grace Community Church, Dallas, officiating.
