Daniel Mark Short, age 50 of Monroe Twp., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday, June 12, 2025 at home.

He was born in Sayre, PA on January 30, 1975 and was the son of Diane Mulcahy Short of Monroe Twp. and the late Terry A. Short, Sr.

Daniel attended Lake-Lehman High School. He worked at KraftMaid Cabinetry as a forklift operator, Cottman Trasmission as a mechanic, and was a partnership owner of Bill's Auto and Truck Service. Daniel was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 967 Harveys Lake. He was always building and repairing trucks and had a great interest in mechanics and hunting. Daniel was known by many as a gentle giant and skilled mechanic who was able to fix anything.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Terry A. Short, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Willard and Almyra Short; and maternal grandparents, Francis and Pauline Mulcahy.

In addition to his mother, Daniel is survived by brothers, Timothy of Monroe Township; Steven (Penney Davis) of Towanda; special uncle, Bill of Harveys Lake; nephews, Riley, Isaiah, and Zayden; and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. L.D. Reed of the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, officiating.

Visitation will be from Monday, June 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, PA.
