Clara L. Lyons, age 86 of Noxen , passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

 

She was born in Noxen on September 4, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Mary Hopfer.

 

Clara graduated from Noxen High School. She worked for many years as a factory worker in several local dress factories. Clara was a member of the Noxen United Methodist Church and the former Noxen Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Elmer Lyons, Sr.; and brothers, Gary, Lewis, and David Hopfer.

 

Clara is survived by son, Elmer, Jr. and his wife Denise; daughter, Andrea Beahm; granddaughter, Olivia Lyons; brother, Ronald Hopfer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

 

Interment will be in the Orcutts Grove Cemetery.
