
Obituary of Carol Jean Grabowski
She was born in Ashley on April 20, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Fred R. and Jean L. Hannis Whitesell.
Carol graduated from Lake-Noxen High School in 1954 and was a career military wife who traveled around the world with her late husband, Ronald who served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. She retired after 21 years of service at the Benton High School cafeteria. Carol was a former member of the Sweet Valley Community Church and the former Dallas Baptist Church at Harveys Lake since 1975. She was a women of great faith who knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Carol was an avid reader, excellent cook, talented seamstress and was a very resourceful person. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by husband, Ronald Grabowski; son, Douglas Grabowski.
She is survived by son Mark Grabowski and his wife Beth of Bolivar, MO; daughter, Catherine Kline and her husband Matthew of Berwick; daughter-in-law, Kelly Grabowski of Benton; grandchildren, Jim Grabowski and his wife Taylor, Amy Varner and her husband Robert, Christine Kline, and Ryan Kline and his partner, Trinity Rooth; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Will, Bennett, Analia, and Elise.
A private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
A graveside service for friends and family will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 11:30 am at Oakdale Cemetery, 390 Prichards Rd., Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Dr. Robert Varner, officiating.
