
Obituary of Brian Jeffrey Agnew
Brian Jeffrey Agnew, age 68 of Loyalville, formerly of Idetown, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Kingston on October 28, 1956 and was the son of the late Leslie and Jean Brown Agnew.
Brian graduated from West Side Vo-Tech with a focus on automotive repair. He worked as a carpenter with several local construction companies for many years. Brian was a member of the Beaumont Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Idetown Fire Company. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid outdoorsman, and loved taking rides on his side-by-side with his son. Brian was also a very charitable man and was known for donating regularly to the Shriners Children's Hospital, St. Jude's Children Hospital, and towards disabled veterans. He was a loving and devoted father and husband.
Brian is survived by his wife of 14 years, the former Debra Hagenbaugh; son, Brandon of Loyalville; daughter, Tonya Mieden (Danny) of Wisconsin; sisters, Sandy Hollos (Edward) of Womelsdorf, PA and Joy Schuler of Harveys Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Elder Joseph M. Marr of the Beaumont SDA, officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
