Obituary of Arline Ruth Schneiderite

Arline Ruth Schneiderite, age 89 of Tunkhannock, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Embassy of Tunkhannock Nursing Home. She was born in Lake Twp. on April 7, 1936 and was the daughter of the late John and Cora Fisher Pimm. Arline graduated from Laketon High School and worked at Native Textiles in Dallas and Remington's Cleaning Service. She was a member of the Loyalville United Methodist Church. Arline enjoyed family events, playing many instruments and singing, enjoyed needlework, knitting, crocheting, doing crafts, decorating and celebrating for the holidays with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William E. Schneiderite, Jr.; siblings, Elizabeth, Hayden, Charles "Chuck", Arthur "Art", Jack "John", Harriet, Rhoda, Hannah, and Mary Jane. Arline is survived by daughters, Brenda Harmon and Karen Matlowski (Stanley); grandchildren, Michelle, Jamie, Kayla (Casey), and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Allison, Dylan, Riley, Garrett, and Madelynn; great-great grandchildren, Jeremy and Miley. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek, Pastor Bob Sabol of the SBC, officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Private internment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lake Township.
