Thaddeus "Ted" Sisco, age 80, of Sylvan Lake, passed away peacefully at Third Avenue Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kingston.
Born on June 30, 1944, in New Jersey, Ted was a proud graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in economics. Following his early career on Wall Street he came to
Wyoming Valley for work. He was an active member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Hunlock Creek, PA.
In the early 1980s, Ted met the love of his life, Kathleen "Kay" O'Kane Mras, and together they shared more than four decades of love and companionship. Their home on Sylvan Lake became the heart of the family—every holiday brought warmth, laughter, and memories that will live on in the hearts of all who gathered there.
In addition to Kay and his parents, Ted was preceded in death by Kathleen's sons, Michael and John Mras.
He is survived by Kathleen's children: Maureen Berryman, Suzanne Mras, Timothy (Debra) Mras and Douglas (Claire) Mras; Michael's wife Bonnie Mras; and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who knew him lovingly as Pop-Pop: Matthew, Calli, Alec, Daniel, Erin, Emily, Neil, Lindsey, Chelsea, Kenley, Cash, Crew, Patrick, Fiona, and the youngest newest addition Louis.
A private Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Rev. Brian Van Fossen officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., at the corner of Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
