James R. "Jim" Rogers, age 86 of Lehman, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. He was born in Idetown on August 11, 1938 and was the son of the late Russell and Mary Rogers. Jim graduated from Lake-Lehman High School, Class of 1956. He served in the United States Air Force as an Airman 1st Class. Jim worked for Sordoni and Asplundh Construction as a foreman for many years. He was a member of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, Lehman, and the Circle Eighters Square Dancing Club. Jim was an avid hunter and enjoyed puzzles, reading, and doing crosswords. He was a loving husband and uncle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Barbara Williams, Rita Butler, Mary Lou Heath, Shirley White, and Richard Rogers. Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice "Ginny" Rogers; and several nieces and nephews, many of who considered him their "grandfather". A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Idetown Cemetery, Lehman Township, with Rev. Deborah Rose, Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Memorial donations can be made to the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, 1011 Mountainview Dr, Lehman, PA 18627.
