Obituary of Wesley Bruce Atkinson

Wesley B Atkinson, Jr., 50, of Noxen passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at home. Born in Kingston on October 28, 1974, he was the son of Carol A. Atkinson & the late Wesley B. Atkinson, Sr. He was a 1994 graduate of Dallas Area High School. He also graduated from Luzerne County Community College with an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology in 1998. Wesley was a Union Boilermaker with Local Lodge #13 since 2000. Wes married his best friend & love of his life, Kimberly A. Atkinson on May 8, 1999. They spent a very blessed 25 years together as husband and wife, best friends and soulmates. He most enjoyed spending his time with his son & little best buddy, Elliott C. Atkinson, going on many adventures. Wesley attended Northmoreland Baptist Church for many years and also enjoyed attending services at Noxen Bible Baptist Church and Cross Creek Community Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, archery, camping, mountain jeep rides and hiking. He found peace solace hiking the many high peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. His love for God knew no bounds! Wesley was preceded in death by his father, Wesley B. Atkinson, Sr.; mother in law & best friend, Diana K. Kovalick and the 6 babies that he now resides with in Heaven! Wesley is survived by his mother, Carol A. Atkinson whom he loved so dearly. Wes is also survived by his best friend & wife, Kimberly A. Atkinson & the greatest blessing of his life, his little best friend, his son, Elliott C. Atkinson. He is also survived by his sister, Danielle Kovalick (Jeff); his brother, Chuck Atkinson; niece & nephews, Seth, Faith & Marcus Rondinella; God Children, Simon, Josh, Maggie, Millie & Myla. He loved many and he was loved by many. Wesley Bruce Atkinson, you are so dearly missed! Funeral Services will be held at 12 pm Friday, February 28, 2025 at Northmoreland Baptist Church, 21 Ripplebrook Rd., Tunkhannock, PA 18657, with Pastor Kurt Seboe, Pastor Ben Hubbell, and Pastor James Howell, officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM prior to the service at the church. No graveside services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Elliott's College fund.
