Harriet L. Jones, 91, of Broadway Corners passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2024 at Allied Services Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Plymouth and was the daughter of the late Amos and Elling Puterbaugh.

Harriet graduated from Ward P. Davenport High School, Plymouth, Class of 1952. She resided in Plymouth for 25 years before moving to Broadway Corners with her husband, the late Arthur Jones, their children, and her parents.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Arthur Jones, who she married in the First Primitive Methodist Church, Plymouth; brother, Foster Puterbaugh; and sister, Jane Vanderhoff.

Harriet is survived by her children, Elling Bonning and her husband, Dennis of Jackson Township; James D. Jones, Sr. of Harveys Lake; Jason P. Jones, Sr and his wife Kari of Sorber Mountain; Arthur Jones, Jr. and his wife, Rhonda of Kulpmont; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Carol Folk of Center Moreland United Methodist Church, officiating.

Viewing will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home before the service.

Interment will be in Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Township.
