James F. Roberts, Jr., age 83 of North Lake, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born in Camden, NJ on December 17, 1941 and was the son of the late James F. Roberts, Sr. DDS and Clara Smith. James graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1960 and served in the US Navy on the USS Enterprise 65 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed as a carpenter in construction. James was a member of the Harveys Lake American Legion and the NRA. He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting and fishing. James was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. James is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Nancy Francis; son, Jim Roberts of Sweet Valley; grandchildren, Kate and Colby Roberts. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Rocky Bonomo of the Sweet Valley Church of Christ, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lake Twp. Online condolences can be made to clswansonfuneralhome.com
