Christine Marie Coombs, age 60 of Dallas, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Kingston on November 22, 1963  and was the daughter of Catherine Crispell Rhone and her husband Arthur and Charles Coombs and his wife Margaret.

Christine graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1981, where she played both basketball and softball. She worked for the Times Leader Newspaper as a District Manager and later retired from P & G after 27 years of service as a Process Leader.

She was preceded in death by sister, Kimberly Coombs and uncle, Barry Coombs.  

In addition to her parents, Christine is survived by her domestic partner of 8 years, Kelly Shaw; daughter, Karlianne Gavek; sisters, Sheila Shultz (Tyrone), Holly Bierman (Chuck), and Cindy Miner (Doug); brothers, Brian Howe (Helen), Ed Carey (Lori Sickler), Dave Carey, and Rob Rhone; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Rocky Bonomo of the Sweet Valley Church of Christ, officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Idetown Cemetery, Lehman Twp.
