Mary Ann Meade Obituary
Mary Ann Meade, age 83 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Birchwood Nursing And Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.
She was born in Nanticoke on May 13, 1941 and was the daughter of the late William and Elva Mitchell.
Mary Ann attended the former Harter High School in West Nanticoke. She worked as a waitress at Stookey's BBQ in Nanticoke for many years and Country Cousins Shoe Factory in Mocanaqua. Mary Ann enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, William H. Mitchell.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard H. Meade; sons, Richard W. Meade and his wife Sheila of Hunlock Creek and Harry Meade and his wife Nicole of Mocanaqua; grandchildren, Richard A. and Gavin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
