Christine T. Folmar, age 71 of Sweet Valley, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 At home. She was born in New York, NY on September 14, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Matilda Motovidlak Moreau. Christine graduated from Erasmus Hall High School, Brooklyn. She was very artistically talented and loved sharing her talents and gifts with others. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, where she was active in many ministries, and the local EGA (Embroiderers Guild of America). After retiring, she was active in volunteering with non profit organizations to help the community, Project DJ, and prayer shawl groups. In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by sister, Ann Marie Fuchtman. She is survived by husband of 52 years, Robert Folmar; Children, Julianne Miller and husband Richard of Tunkhannock, John Folmar and wife Deseree of Round Rock, TX, and Diane Folmar of Sweet Valley; grandchildren, Samantha Stare of Tunkhannock and Bryon Folmar of Sweet Valley; and numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephew, great-nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 am from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Father James Nash and con-celebrant, Father Richard Fox, officiating. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Astrazeneca Hope Lodge, 110 W Laurel Ave, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
