Julie A. Johnson, age 82 of Trucksville, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 11, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Casper and Mary Kuniskas. Julie attended Dallas High School. She was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC., perusing through treasures at yard sales and loved a great bargain. Julie will be extremely missed, particularly by her fur-nieces; Gracie, Annie and her grand pup, Cooper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Lyle Johnson, brother, Walter Kuniskas, and sister, Isabel Lutz. She is survived by son, Howard Viveney and his wife DeAnne, daughters, Michele Jenkins, Julie Wiecezak and her husband Chris; brother, Ralph Kuniskas and his wife Sandra; sisters, Irene Bockowski and her husband Gerald, Florence Sisco and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Jessica Jenkins, Drew Jenkins and Ted Viveney; great-grandchildren, Arianna Deyo, Owen Deyo, Natalie Hettes and Noah Hettes; and several nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Deacon Eugene Blockus of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
