Shirley J. Molowski, age 90 of Dallas, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas. She was born in Kingston on April 4, 1932 and was the daughter of late Clarence and Elizabeth Maynard LaBar. Shirley graduated from Shickshinny High School and received her degree in cosmetology from beauty school. She worked in the Treasury Department in the Luzerne County Courthouse and was later the owner/operator of her own beauty shop in both Dallas and Sweet Valley. Shirley was a member of the Outlet Bible Tabernacle, Lehman. She enjoyed doing ceramics and shopping. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Dominick Silvetti; 2nd husband, Stanley Molowski; brother, James; granddaughter, Morgan Kurosky and Dawn Haughney. Shirley is survived by children, Debra Haughney (Benjamin), Donna Matzer, David Silvetti and Danielle Kurosky (Jay); 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Carl Howie of the Outlet Bible Tabernacle, Lehman, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
