Harry A. Martin, age 67 of Pikes Creek, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. He was born in Kingston on August 6, 1954 and was the son of the late Clifford and Lillian Hagel Martin. Harry graduated from WSCTC with a focus on being an auto mechanic. He worked at Royer Industries, the Benton Foundry, and then opened his own auto mechanic shop and salvage yard. He enjoyed collecting farm tractors and guns. Harry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Robyn Jean Martin who passed away in 2020; and numerous brothers and sisters. Harry is survived by son, Chad Martin of Pikes Creek and his fiancé Stephanie Cheslaw; daughter, Diane Nevel and her husband Donald, Jr. of Shickshinny; siblings, Cora Harmon, Irene Yeager, Joe Martin, and Marty Martin; grandchildren, Cara, Gina and Travis Martin, Donald, III and Bruce Nevel and Felecia Manley and her husband Anthony; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 12:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dan Brubaker of the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM before the service.
