Charles J. Stockage, age 85 of Sweet Valley, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Allied Services Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Glen Lyon on November 9, 1936 and was the son of the late Charles and Anna Stockage. Charles graduated from Lake-Lehman High School and worked at Updyke's Berry Farm where he met his wife of 56 years, Barbara. He was also employed by the PA Game Comission as a game warden and later retired from Proctor and Gamble as a line maintenance man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Charles was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Stockage; and granddaughter, Amanda Yurksha. He is survived by children, Charlie E. Stockage and wife, Krista, Theresa Krasucki and her husband Steve, Lisa Barber and her husband Jim, Debbie Carey and her husband PJ, and Jay Stockage and his wife Tracy; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, George and Robert Stockage; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek with Pastor Carol Folk, Loyalville United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
