Obituary of Terry Allen Short, Sr.

Terry Allen Short, Sr., age 63 of Harveys Lake, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. Mr. Short was born in Sunbury on August 27, 1953 and was the son of the late Willard and Margaret Almyra Whitson Short. Terry was employed as a foreman for PennDot in Luzerne County, retiring after 25 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his 4 wheeler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Terry A. Short, Jr. and brother, Skip. Terry is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Kathryn (Diane) Mulcahy; sons, Daniel Short, Timothy Short and his wife Elizabeth and Steven Short and his companion Penney, all of Towanda; brother, Bill of Harveys Lake; grandchildren, Riley, Isaiah, and Zayden: extended family; Joe, Claudine and Joseph Drugotch. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. L.D. Reed of the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, officiating. Friends may call 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming.
