Obituary of Robert Dean Kreidler

Robert D. Kreidler, age 83 of Pikes Creek, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Mr. Kreidler was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 14, 1933 and was the son of the late Thomas Nelson and Hazel Kreidler. Robert attended Dallas schools and was a member of the local 514 Brotherhood of Carpenters. He also was a member of the Luzerne United Methodist Church. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, cutting firewood and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, the former Nancy Brown, daughter, Patricia Dzoch, sister, Dorothy Kreidler and grandson, Joseph. Robert is survived by sons, Robert D., Jr. and Dean and his wife Shannon, both of Pikes Creek; daughters, Jacqueline Latosek of Jackson Twp., Arline Rogowski and her husband John of Pikes Creek, Deborah Bedford and her husband Douglas of Pikes Creek, and Barbara Hazletine of Ross Twp.; brother, Thomas Kreidler and his wife Isabel of Trucksville; Robert was the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Carol Coleman of the Luzerne United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call 5:00 PM -7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
