Catherine Odessa Wilson, age 92 of Tunkhannock, formerly of Mehoopany, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at home. Mrs. Wilson was born in Dallas Township July 11, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Alvin LeRoy and Lily Kittle Scott. Catherine was employed by Proctor and Gamble Paper Products in Mehoopany for 25 years. She enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Donald Wilson, daughter, Amanda Remington, brothers, Alvin, Allen, Carl and Corey Scott, and sisters, Beatrice Lapallo and Viola White. Catherine is survived by son, Donald C. Wilson and his wife Carol of Bonita Springs, FL; daughter, Edith M. Wilson, with whom she resided; brother, Gene Scott of Noxen; sister, Della Dymond of Monroe Twp.; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 12:00 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Ben Hubbell of the Noxen Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service. Interment will be in the Bethel Hill Cemetery, Fairmount Township.
