Obituary of Mary Jean Crane

Mary Jean Crane, age 76 of Lake Twp., passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Crane was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 28, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Catherine Reh Morrow. Mary Jean was a member of the Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake. She loved gardening, crafts, and Christmas time. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Charles who passed away February of 2011 and sister, Kathleen Ellermeyer. Mary Jean is survived by son, Charles Crane and his wife Barbara of Lake Twp.; daughters, Christine Orbin and her husband Joseph of Lake Twp., and Colleen Sutliff of Harveys Lake; brother, Eugene Morrow of Edison, NJ; sister, Patricia Federowicz of Appalachin, NY; grandchildren, Renee, Amanda, Charles, Nathan, Quentin, Brian, Sarah, John, Melissa, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Molly, Emma, Noah, Ellie, and Abigail. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am from the Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake, with Rev. Daniel Toomey, officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, Shavertown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the American Lung Association of Wilkes-Barre, 71 North Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
