Obituary of June Ann Mahoney

June Ann Zajaczkowski Mahoney, age 62 of Sweet Valley, went to be with the Lord on Friday June 3, 2016. She was born on October 11, 1953 in Walter Reed Army Hospital and was the daughter of Sargent Raymond Zajaczkowski and the late Bertha Harrold. June graduated from Nanticoke High School. She received her EMT certification and volunteered for the Lake Silkworth Ambulance Association. She later received an associates degree in nursing. In 1973, June married the love of her life, Rodney Charles Mahoney. Desiring to have childen, they adopted their first and only daughter Shoshana Mahoney in September, 1996. June was a stay-at-home mother, but really she was the definition of a soccer mom. Shoshana was the light of her mother's life. June was, above all, a devoted Christian and loved the Lord very much. She was loved by many and will surely be missed. She will forever be rejoicing in heaven and looking down upon us. Surviving are her loving husband Rodney Mahoney, daughter Shoshana Mahoney , at home, her father Sargent Raymond Zajaczkowski and wife Elizabeth of Hammond NY, step-father Harry Harrold of Sweet Valley PA, sisters Susan Maille of Sweet Valley PA, and Christina Harrold of Yelm WA, and brother Raymond Zajaczkowski Jr. of North Bend WA. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 3 PM at the Back Mountain Assembly Church. There will be a potluck dinner to follow at 6pm.
