Mark L. Gebhardt, age 54 of Hunlock Creek, went home to be with his Lord unexpectedly Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Kingston on April 2, 1963 and was the son of the late John and Dorothy Honey Gebhardt.
Mark served in the US Army as a combat medic during the Gulf War. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Wyman-Gordon in Mountaintop for 20 years. Mark loved photography, was an avid bowler and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers. He attended the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, Hunlock Creek. Mark was a loving husband, father, and brother with a giving spirit and a great sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Sean and sister, Dorothy Peranto.
Mark is survived by his wife, the former Pamela Vollrath; daughters, Nicole of Nanticoke, Caitlin of Williamsport, Christiana of Luzerne and Tiffani of Luzerne; step-son, Kyle Kidd of New Mexico; step-daughter, Sarah Kidd of Hunlock Creek; brothers, John of Hunlock Creek and Robert of Dallas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 8:00 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dan Brubaker of the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, officiating.
Friends may call 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM prior to the service on Monday.
Future interment will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Township.
